The design intent of the new Palace Casino Buffet was to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere with an emphasis on natural colors, textures and patterns. Cuningham Group designers utilized materials such as wood and slate as well as a large water feature at the elevator entrance to increase the anticipation of an exceptional dining experience.
Layered elements, including a semi-transparent wall of glass shelving behind the cash counter and wall openings into the 24-hour cafe, help reinforce the spatially dynamic setting. Variations in ceiling height accentuate both intimate and expansive seating areas while decorative lighting – from recessed spotlights to frosted dome pendants – further differentiates the various options offered to guests.
