This congregation wanted a firm to study its existing church, listen to its vision, and design a flexible, inviting, and energy-efficient facility able to meet its needs for the next 60 years.
Cuningham Group assembled measured drawings (no originals existed) and interviewed the various ministries at the church. Extensive planning meetings were held with the building committee and other end user groups to build a comprehensive master plan capable of satisfying the expressed long-term goals of the congregation. The two-phase solution included two expansion areas; complete renovation of the worship, education, administration and pre-school spaces; and modifications to the roof, exterior windows and main entrance. A meditation garden was also added.
