New Construction, Residential Housing, Parking Structure, Retail
333 Hennepin continues the energetic retail corridor with 6,000 square feet of retail space along Hennepin and 4th Avenues and adds 282 units of market rate apartments with associated amenities. A seven-story, 440-space attached parking structure serves both retail and 333 Hennepin residents.
Cuningham Group worked with The Nicollet Island East Bank Neighborhood Association Task Force through development planning to define the major intersection with an iconic community development. Surrounded by eclectic architecture which varies in height, massing, materials, and expression challenged the design to look for contextual tie-ins at the base level. Northeast Minneapolis culture inspired 333 Hennepin’s aesthetics. Strong ties to agriculture and industrial-related product, commerce, and expression direct the material palette.
