New Athletic Facility and Elementary School Renovation
Denver Academy initially engaged Cuningham Group to develop a Master Plan for their campus to identify how and where to improve the overall quality of its core educational spaces, as well as replace existing buildings with more appropriate flexible, collaborative spaces for learning. A new vision for the campus was developed to refresh, repurpose and renovate existing facilities. The intent minimized new construction, while maximizing the potential of existing facilities to accommodate a variety of learning styles.
Using resources generated in the campus assessment as starting point, the Cuningham Group team facilitated a series of co-creative workshops with leadership, students, parents, teachers and staff.
Phase 1 is now in design, focusing on significant renovation to the existing elementary school and the creation of a new multi-function athletic facility to serve the K-12 school community.
