Renovation, Worship Space, Outdoor Courtyard
The new design concept reconfigured the 157-seat worship space by changing the narrow linear seating to a layout which gathers the entire assembly around the altar on three sides.
The completed building has many features to improve the contemporary worship space, including increased natural ambient light; an adjacent outdoor courtyard space that welcomes and links all pedestrian paths; disabled access features including a new elevator; state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and audio-visual equipment; and installation of new energy efficient windows and mechanical equipment. In addition, a nationally known stained glass artist fabricated several large windows to tell the story of the community.
