Casino Renovation, Restaurants

Twenty-five years ago, Cuningham Group designed the original Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Grand Casino Hinckley properties. The firm, along with Full Circle Indigenous Planning, is currently helping with significant property enhancements at both locations to improve the overall guest experience. The renovation was phased to allow the resort to remain operational during design and construction with all work scheduled to be complete in May 2019.

GAME FLOOR & AMENITIES

While many of the changes focus on food and beverage offerings, the gaming floors at each casino are receiving floor-to-ceiling renovations as ceiling and light fixtures, wall treatments, carpet and property signage are all being upgraded. In addition, a new pool area at Grand Casino Hinckley helps to extend the amenities beyond the casino floor.

RESTAURANTS

Completed F&B venues include the 24-hour Stories Diner at Grand Casino Hinckley, which has a timeless, modern bistro feel with open dining seating; Brand Burger Bar (B3) at Grand Casino Mille Lacs subtly plays off sporting activities in its design; and Grand Buffet is a 424-seat culinary marketplace at the Hinckley location that provides guests with a customized food experience as they stroll through individually-themed destinations. Other additions include The Grille House at Hinckley and 1991 Kitchen at Mille Lacs with its modern north woods setting and a name to honor the casino’s founding year.
