Northfield @ Stapleton Apartments Exterior

The public realm spaces were designed to offer residents places to rest, grow, and play. These spaces are centrally located to offer equitable access, and are aligned with building entries to the east and west. The space for “rest,” a zen-style garden, is gently nestled between wings of the building to foster quietude and privacy; the “grow” space hosts planters for a community gardening, allowing residents to grow their own fresh food with space for picnicking and a grill; the “play” space has an undulating rubberized play surface and climbing structure. Low-maintenance and drought-tolerant plants surround the entire development, eliminating the need for lawn maintenance.
