Phoenix - Healthcare

Cuningham Group is seeking an architectural designer in our Phoenix office.  Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of experience with a focus on projects for healthcare facilities including acute care and outpatient services. The ideal candidates are talented and motivated and ready to join our team and contribute to the success of the firm.

Specific Tasks

  • Be committed to design innovation, technical craft and environmental stewardship.
  • Be focused on project achievements and have a healthy sense of humor.
  • Be a self-directed learner and have superb technical skills related to 3D- modeling software. (Sketch up, Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, VR, etc.)

Architectural Project Manager

LOS ANGELES - URBAN LIVING AND WORKPLACE

Cuningham Group is seeking a Project Manager to focus on Urban Living projects for our Culver City office. The Project Manager will play a key role in helping build our Urban Living business through project leadership and Client management.  As the primary point of contact, the Project Manager shall be responsible for coordination of the project between Cuningham Group and its Clients.  The Project Manager will be responsible for coordination of the design and technical efforts of the project team members and the integration of architecture, engineering, interiors and landscape disciplines on the project.

Specific Tasks

  • Ownership of delivering complex, high-value urban living projects.
  • Develop, implement and monitor a work plan for each project.
  • Responsible for client relations and to assist Project  leadership and Principal-In-Charge to obtain repeat business from existing clients.
  • Lead, guide and manage projects, teams, and budgets.
  • Administer Owner and Consultant contracts.
  • Motivate and manage cross-office project teams.
  • Client care and retention for key Urban Living projects.
  • Submit to and review with client matters pertaining to budget and scope of the work.
  • Define deliverables, schedule, and fees during the proposal phase.
  • Plan internal and external communications.
  • Develop and update project staffing plans and project schedules.
  •   Monitor employee planned versus actual time and performance.
  • Support Market Group Leader and Operations Leader with staffing decisions.

Experience Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Architecture or Design School.  Must be licensed.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience managing multifamily housing projects for a design firm.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and the design team.
  • Demonstrated success leading and inspiring technical and design staff.
  • Experience with budget creation, development, and management tools.
  • Solid experience with project scheduling and staff management.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence.
  • Project Management Software experience and Revit familiarity required.
  • Proven experience in successful client relationship development and management.

Project Architect

DENVER - URBAN LIVING AND WORKPLACE

Cuningham Group is seeking a Project Architect in our Denver office. Candidates should have seven to ten years of experience with a focus on projects for our Live/Work Market Group including mixed use development and multi-family housing. The ideal candidate is talented and motivated and ready to join our team and contribute to the success of the firm.

Specific Tasks

  • Developing project documents for bidding and construction.
  • Provide input to the design and construction schedule – communicate the technical implication of design decisions.
  • Responsible for the development and coordination of the drawings and specifications including:  program compliance; code and agency compliance; schedule commitments and product research.
  • Organize and direct the architectural team to execute the work in an orderly, timely and coordinated manner.
  • Advise the project architect when the drawings and specifications are complete and ready to be issued.
  • Provide support for any tasks required for the successful completion of the project.

Experience Requirements

  • Seven to ten years of experience with multi-family housing/mixed-use development experience preferred.

Business Development (75%)

  • Workplace focused, industry networking
  • Work with marketing to promote Cuningham Group to workplace industry
  • This position is primarily focused on the generation of professional services for the firm measured by number/value of opportunities, resulting sales and revenue goals to be determined with candidate

Workplace Studio Leadership (10%)

  • Participate in strategic annual planning development
  • Participate in firm Discipline Groups
  • Assist Market Group Leaders in coordinating staff effort

Specific Project Leadership (15%)

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience working with corporate interiors, development based and/or build to suit projects in a project management and business development capacity
  • Exceptional relationship management skills including the ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with others inside and outside of the organization.
  • Must have demonstrated vision strategic thinking in an entrepreneurial environment including the ability to support, promote, and ensure alignment with the organization's vision and values.
  • The ability to influence others by gaining others’ support for ideas, proposals, projects and solutions
  • Must possess a results orientation and the ability to focus personal efforts on achieving results consistent with the studio and the organization’s objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and guide group efforts including providing appropriate level of feedback concerns group and individual progress
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Office 365 and Deltek Vision desired
