Director, Building Information Modeling

Cuningham Group Architecture, Inc., an award-winning architecture firm with 10 offices around the world, is seeking a Director, Building Information Modeling (BIM) in our Minneapolis office.  The primary responsibility is to guide the strategic direction and manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) practices within Cuningham Group.   Practices include but are not limited to: research & development, process documentation and improvement, user support, software implementation, standards development, training programs, and policy enforcement firmwide.  This position resides within the Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Business Area and reports to the Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO).   All essential functions and responsibilities shall be performed in accordance with Cuningham Group’s values and policies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Sr. Architectural Project Manager

Summer Internship

A Cuningha­­m Group student internship in architecture, interior design, or landscape architecture is a great way to step into the professional world and experience firsthand what it’s like to be part of a cross-disciplinary team collaborating together to shape and design projects in multi-family housing, healthcare, education, corporate, retail, restaurant, hospitality, and worship / non-profit markets. You’ll receive essential on-the-job training that will boost your skill sets, increase your technical knowledge, expand your network, and give you access to a vast array of interesting and fast-paced projects immersed in our creative and welcoming Cuningham Group culture.  We currently have internship opportunities in our Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Diego offices.

Some of the many things you may have the opportunity to do as a Cuningham Group Student Intern include:

  • Collaborate on project design, working directly with project teams to design and develop projects, iterate options for clients, and research sustainable construction materials and methods.

  • The availability to dedicate 40 hours a week for the duration of the summer cohort program­­ from the end of May to mid-August, and an interest in an opportunity to continue part-time during the academic school year.
  • Introductory-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and SketchUp.
